Focusing on environmental impacts assessment as a new tool, which determines harmful effects of projects on the environment is very necessary. Since, the establishment of cement plants in Iran is accompanied by huge investments with the aim of creating jobs and others economic aspects and this trend is increase, but cement plants have environmental pollutions. So, understanding the effects of activities in these potentially polluting centers will be a great help to determine the future strategies. For control and prevention of pollutions, using of a model for the quantitative assessment of environmental impacts is necessary. Therefore, in this study, the Folchi method has been using to recognize and identify of environmental pollutions in cement plants and effective solutions to decrease of the negative impacts of environmental in Shahrood cement plant. According to the results, the contamination produced by the plant, especially for environmental components including air quality, area landscape, soil of the area, ecology and area usage are more significant of other environmental components. Then the EIA results obtained are used to assess the sustainability of the complex using the Phillips mathematical model. The results obtained indicate that the sustainability of this complex is unsustainable, and therefore, the preventive environmental activities with a preference must be recommended to reduce the environmental damages to its components.
